After years operating largely outside the spotlight, Gabriella Cilmi has officially returned with new single 'Pure Love' her first new material in several years and a clear signal of a new creative chapter.

Sonically, Pure Love marks a departure from the polished pop that defined her earlier era. Instead, the track leans into a more raw, live-recorded approach, produced by Peter Miles and shaped by soul and blues influences prioritising feel over perfection.
Gabriella Cilmi described the record as a “homecoming record”, the track centres on self acceptance and presence, framed as a “mantra of surrender” rather than a conventional comeback single.
The release also reflects a wider shift in Cilmi’s positioning rather than chasing chart familiarity, the single feels deliberately introspective less about reintroducing a brand, more about reclaiming identity. That intention is reinforced by her recent return to live performance, including intimate shows and select appearances across the UK.
